The Sant Gervasi – Joan Maragall library, located at the Vila Florida house, in the Sarriá – Sant Gervasi district in Barcelona, has received the 2014 City of Barcelona award in the architecture and urbanism category.
The City of Barcelona awards are presented by the city council of Barcelona for over 60 years and recognizes the excellence in the different field of creation, investigation and cultural production of the city.
IDP has carried out the construction executive management of the Joan Maragall library and functions room, which has a total constructed Surface of 2.982,5 m2, on a parcel of 5.464 m2. The building has been developed in 4 levels, and an high slope between the plot and the Sant Gervasi de Cassoles Street had to be adapted and it has also integrated the construction of an cultural and Green area, improving the Street conditions and facilitating the connection with the Vila Florida gardens.
With this performance all the participating parts in this project and the IDP team have obtained a new recognition which shows the good work of the company in this ambit.
