IDP takes part at the European R&D METGROW+ project, in the frame of the Horizon 2020 Program, the aim of the project is to develop new innovative metallurgic technologies to allow flexible, rentable and sustainable designs for the metal valorization in low law from raw materials and secondary resources.
The project, financed be the EU in the frame of the Horizon 2020 Project for new metallurgic materials (SC5-11E), has a US$ 8.7 milion budget and a timeframe of 4 years, it is coordinated by the Finish Tutkimuskeskus Teknologian VTT and counts with the participation of companies, research centers and international universities from Belgium, Spain, Poland, Finland, Sweden, Greece, Cyprus, Italy, Poland and France. At this project IDP takes part leading the waste mineral valorization works package.
Past February 15th, the first work meeting took place in Helsinki (Finland) where close to 40 research technicians took part on the debate about the different proposals.
With this project, IDP reinforces its R&D line by developing in the past 4 years several research projects financed by the EU, such as the IPAN-Innovate Popular Low Density Structural Panel project, the DOF-District of the Future project and the Hermes projects, also financed by the Horizon 2020 Project.
