Aleix Vila, General Manager of IDP Group in Spain has participated in the conference on “Sustainable Architecture with Environmental Certification” held last May 24th at the 20th Congress of Barcelona Building Construmat, a landmark event in the sector Of the building celebrated in Barcelona.
The conference, organised by Grupo Vía and sponsored by Mapei, has also had the participation of professionals and expert companies in the sector such as CBCE, Pich Architects, Ortiz León Arquitectos, luis vidal + arquitectos and DMDVA Arquitectos, who have exposed different success cases.
The event has made it possible to share the main certifications and stamps that ensure the sustainability and energy efficiency at an international level, such as the Green, Breeam, DGNB and LEED stamps, and share the advantages and future challenges of sustainable stamps that reflect good practice and environmental values as well as sustainability in rehabilitation and new building projects.
Aleix Vila of IDP together with Artur García of Zero Consulting have presented the success case in obtaining the first DGNB stamp achieved in Spain in the logistical platform/industrial building profile and the difficulty of implementing the international model into the Spanish profile. In this action, IDP obtained the GOLD certification of DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen) and 4 VERDE GBCE (Green Building Council España) sheets.
