IDP AWARDED WITH THE EXTENSION PROJECT OF THE RENAULT INDUSTRIAL PLANT IN PALENCIA (SPAIN)

IDP has been the chosen engineering by the French automobile and commercial vehicles manufacturer RENAULT to carry out the extension project of its cramping plant in Palencia. This new building, destined to storage supplies, will have a 1.000m2 plant surface and more than 400m2 mezzanine surface, supporting an 8Tn/m2 load and 20mts height.

IDP’s performance is framed within the extension project of the Renault plant in Palencia and consists to extend the ‘Maves Bajas’ building of the cramping plant. IDP will carry out the project draft and the subsequent work direction and technical assistance until its start up.

These projects have been done by BIM “Building Information Modeling” technology, allows to design, project, organize and direct the digital construction of the Project and its subsequent works. It integrates all the information in a parameterized, complete, unique and centralized model that shares all the participating agents that will take part during all the buildings life cycle. This digital model allows the integration of up to 7 dimensions – the 3 physic ones, cost (4th D), time (5th D), energetic and sustainability analysis (6th D) and the Facility Management systems integration (7th D) – speeding up the decision time and erasing mistakes thanks to a global knowledge of the Project thru the model.
With this performance, IDP consolidates as a high level supplier of solutions for the automobile industry, one of the most demanding sectors in the deadlines management, quality and costs.
