IDP has been awarded to develop the project of the new Koerich logistics and distribution center. Koerich is the leading firm in Santa Catarina in the cell phone and electrical appliance retail sector for over 60 years with more than 91 stores and 4 distribution centers, 2 in São José, 1 in Joinville and 1 in Criciúma.
IDP’s performance consist on the enginery and architecture project development of the new logistics and distribution center in Biguaçu and the elaboration of the transfer project of the architectonic projects to BIM technology and the construction management. This new center, entirely projected thru BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, has a total built surface of 24.826 m2 distributed in 20.751 m2 of logistics area and 4.075 m2 of administrative area, it also has 44.858 m2 of Access, expansion and maneuver area with an execution time of 18 months.
These projects will entirely be done thru BIM “Building Information Modeling” technology, which allows to design, project, organize and direct the digital construction of the Project and its subsequent works. It integrates all the information in a parametrized, complete, unique and centralized model that shares all the participating agents that will take part during all the buildings life cycle. This digital model allows the integration of up to 7 dimensions – the 3 physic ones, cost (4th D), time (5th D), energetic and sustainability analysis (6th D) and the Facility Management systems integration (7th D) – speeding up the decision time and erasing mistakes thanks to a global knowledge of the Project thru the model.
With this performance, IDP consolidates as the reference company for the development of projects thru BIM technology, and in this case working with the Open BIM system from its 6 production centers (Sabadell, Madrid, Florianópolis, Río de Janeiro, Quito and Lima).
