IDP AWARDED TO BUILD THE TRANSCATALONIA TOURISTIC CYCLE ROUTE
The Infrastructure Department of the Government of Catalonia has awarded IDP with the construction project of the new itinerary of the Transcatalonia Tourist Cycle Route, that uses rural roads, urban roads and railroads that are currently in disuse or with a low traffic level.

The Transcatalonia Tourist Cycle Route stretches over 290 km and includes 46 municipalities across nine communities of Catalonia.

IDP’s work consists in defining the route, highlighting the tourist, cultural and landscaping attractions it embraces; determinating the appropriate signaling to guarantee the correct and safe use of the route by cyclists and identifying conflictive points and solve discontinuities offering a safe route track. Also do we ensure that the route has access to public transport stations to enable starting or finishing the stages at these points.

This performance reinforces the relation between IDP and the Government of Catalonia in the infrastructures area and at the same time promotes tourism, one of the economic pillars of Spain.
